Web-based email service to send and receive email messages from lecturers and other students for educational purposes.
Check your QUT email regularly for important University correspondance.
To access QUT WebMail:
- Start your web browser
- Go to the QUT Home Page
- Click Email (WebMail) under the Quick Links.
- Enter your QUT-Access username and password and click Enter
What can you do in QUT WebMail?
- Send/receive emails from lecturers, tutors and colleagues
- Create/use folders to organise your emails
- Search for lecturer's contact details (i.e. email address and phone number)
- Create your own address book for frequently used email addresses
- Apply email filters to automatically organise your emails into folders
- Control spam (unwanted email)
- Add/use signatures in your emails
Email etiquette
- Do not abuse the use of email or you may lose the right to access the computing facilities at QUT.
- Do not send any abusing emails. This includes sending messages involving junk (spam) or chain mail, pornography, sexual harassment, defamation, racist or otherwise offensive material
- Sending attachments to large groups of people is discouraged
- To avoid receiving spam (unwanted email) do not provide your QUT email address to web sites you do not trust
